RESULTS

REGUA's forest restoration programme has had partnerships with many organisations over the years.  One of the latest areas to be restored was funded by WWF-Brasil, which enabled the restoration of 20 hectares between 2021 and 2022 and plans to restore another 25 hectares by the end of 2024.   The International Institute for Sustainability (IIS),  is promoting enrichment actions with seedlings native to the Atlantic Forest in 22 hectares of an area that is already in the process of forest restoration, in addition to monitoring the fauna.

REGUA is now one of the largest restoration projects of forest ecosystems in the state of Rio de Janeiro. It stands out in this field of restoration with 460 hectares of restored areas and 750,000 seedlings planted, with a diversity of more than 500 species.
